DIET(District Institute of Education and Training) Senapati situated in the TNK village of Senapati District. Its Geo-coordinates is 25.2704°N  and 94.029736°E. Under the vision of National Policy on Education(NPE) 1986 and its Programme of Action(POA) 1992 , District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Senapati came into existence in the year 1997 as a third- tire district level support system which is under the Directorate of SCERT Government of  Manipur, Locating at the hill slope of TNK village, Senapati district Head Quarters it executes the lead role to leverage the quality of school education through professional development programme of both in- service and pre–service teachers. Under the recognition of NCTE in the year 2005, DIET Senapati have been conducting 2-years Pre-service D.El.Ed. Programme till today. The institute coordinates with different government and non-governmental organisations to monitor and to assess the schools across the district and it challenges the issues with amicable solutions by conducting district specific research and innovations in the sphere of school education.
